No Theme

God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone,
but also on trees, and in the flowers
and clouds, and stars.
-Martin Luther

Mornings are so peaceful....they are rapidly becoming my favorite time of the day. I sit back, with my cup of blueberry green tea and watch the sun come up; thinking, what a mighty God I serve!

Pink

Strawberry cake pops!! In a word . . . . Fenomenal!! That's the biggest word I could think of in two seconds, but seriously they're heaven!
The recipe is one box cake, mixed, baked, and cooled.
One jar of premade frosting.
Crumble the cooled cake and mix with jar of frosting.
Put in freezer for two hours at least or overnight.
I did overnight and they were still not frozen.  Then you roll into round balls of sweetness, dip in chocolate or yogurt stick a popsicle stick (you can find them in the craft aisle in walmart) and voila! you have the worlds yummiest cake!
AND if your a really cool mom you can even decorate them like your kids' favorite characters like elmo, or captain america, or dora, or spongebob. They are like the new cupcake. ;)
Y'all have fun. :)        CM

After living in South Carolina for five years and then having such a dry summer here in Indiana, it is amazing to me that I have flowers popping up that I didn't put any effort into. Flowers make me happy, and the less effort I have to put into them, the happier I am! So, I'm pretty happy right now! :) -RM

Blue

AND...we're back!! The moving process seems to finally be done! From the packing to the loading to the driving to the living in a camper to the moving into our house...we're finally settled! Now...on to picture taking!

I have this set of little, tiny cobalt blue vases that my Grandma Miller gave me. They are one of my favorite things because her grandma gave them to her when she was a little girl! Hand-me-down things like this are the best! :)
Baseball. Summer. Two things that go hand in hand. Even though I didn't get to go to all of the games, it was fun when I could get there. And our guys did really good this year. Go Pleasant Grove!!

a little break

To our few followers: I (Rachelle) am in the process of making the move to IN. We are turning off our phone and internet today, so I will be unable to post any of my pictures. We will try to get everything up and running again as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding, and for following our little blog!

Orange

oranges = happiness. :)

Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. -Nathaniel Hawthorne

Purple

never stop dreaming. :)
no seriously, mom always wanted to grow
african violets and they just never did for her.
then we move to indiana and voila! we have the ever blooming african
violet so pretty in our window. :)

For some reason, the clover blooming in the field across the road from us, always looks so magical. Maybe it's transporting me back to my childhood when I used to romp through the fields picking clover for mom. Whatever the case may be, it's one of the reasons I fell in love with my little blue house two years ago. It seems like God has another adventure in mind for us. We will be leaving the little blue house across from the clover fields and heading up to IN. But, no matter where we end up, I will always look back on this house with great fondness. Here's to new adventures!

Red

There's nothing quite like having fresh strawberries for breakfast! :)

Red represents so many things.
Jesus words. His blood. The color of the sunsets and sunrises in the sky. Roses.
Shoes. Fire. Love. Passion. Red is beautiful because of it's vibrancy, it's will to be bold even when it stands out above the crowd and looks different than most. I like red. :)

Yellow

Orchids. :)
One of the most beautiful flowers ever.
They're so delicate and feminine.
Mom n dad got me this one for my birthday
this year. It even smells like a daffodil!!

I was just telling my hubbers how much I love color
in my house. Who cares about tans and whites when
you can have pinks, and yellows, and greens.
Color makes me happy.

Green

Green is my favorite color. Very Very favorite color. And it's everywhere! How lucky am I?

No theme week

Driving just to drive. Talking. Eating ice cream. That's what this night was. Full of happiness and fuzzy feelings. Love and laughter. Time together, just him and me.

Hope

best, most hope-filled time of day? early morning. everyone and everything is quiet and you can hear the world wake up outside your door. i love mornings. :)

Nothing speaks of hope to me more then spring flowers. (I've been posting a lot of flowers lately, but I can't help it. :)) In this world of sickness, death, disasters, sadness and tears, there is nothing we need more then hope.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2

Dreams

One of my biggest dreams right now is to travel. Where do I want to go? Brazil, Russia, Paris, Haiti, Jamaica, all fifty states, and so many, many more places. But for now I'm in Indiana. Dreaming.

I had a really hard time coming up with a picture to take for this week's theme. I had to ask myself what my dreams are. I've got many dreams that, in reality, will probably never come true. But when it comes right down to it, my heart's dream has come true. I've fallen in love and married my best friend. We live in a cute, little, blue house out in the country and we have two dogs to keep us company. My heart is full...and while I will continue to dream those big dreams, I am perfectly happy right where God has placed me.

Animals

the dearest little dog on the face of the earth. this is scoobies favorite spot to sleep cause it's so warm. love him.

I had actually planned a completely different picture for this post, but then this father and his two daughters graced me with their presence on my afternoon walk and I loved this picture so much I had to use it. Makes me wish I had a horse!

Love

We are all born for love. It is the principle of existence, and it's only end.
-Benjamin Disraeli

A daffodil is not something most people think about when they hear the word love, but I won't ever look at a daffodil the same way again. I clean for a couple who are around my parent's age. The husband lost his leg in a railroad accident when they were young married and he has a hard time getting around. Last Friday, when I cleaned their house, there was a HUGE bouquet of daffodils on the coffee table and I went off about how beautiful they were. Joni then told me that her husband picks her a bouquet every spring because he knows that's her favorite flower. Knowing how hard that must be for him, it just amazes me. That's love.

Outside

wishing to go barefoot outside again. :)

Crocuses are such brave little flowers. I somehow forget about them. Every year, I think that I can't hardly wait to see the daffodils bloom and then the crocuses show up and I think I may like them better then daffodils. :) Yay, for spring and warmer weather and not being sick any more!

Cats

I couldn't resist putting this picture on the the kit cat clocks we have at work. ;) they are so freaky! both there tails and eyes move at the same time. thankfully they don't meow at the top of the hour. even so i think i'll stick with the original coo-coo clock. :)

Nilah. The most beautiful, most crazy cat there ever was. She likes to sit up there, looking in the window, tormenting the dog. She's got this thing with food that makes her go crazy. She's been known to crawl up my husbands pant leg trying to get to his sandwich. And last week, while carrying in the groceries, Nilah jumped up on the loaf of bread swinging from my hand, grabbed on with all four paws, and before I could figure out what to do, she had it ripped open and bread strewn everywhere. Crazy, crazy cat!

Winter

Winter came to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow,
And we, we were children once again.
Bill Morgan Jr.

Seriously!? Who needs winter!? Here in the South,
trees are blooming, daffodils are peeking out
and I couldn't be happier!
