My Town

in my town most of the population rides bikes. they're everywhere. little bikes and big bikes. as well as little bikers and big bikers. that is young and old i mean. :)

We live in a tiny town that consists of a gas station, a Dollar General, a Subway and a college. The college grounds are amazing and I love to walk through them and look at the old, Southern architecture. I love my tiny, little town! :)

Reflections

summer reflections, volleyball with the youth group, aviators, laughter, good times. :)

I had three different photos for today's theme and wasn't sure which one I wanted to use. But I chose this one because it portrays our weekend. Relaxing and peaceful are both words I would use to describe the weekend. It was very rejuvenating and I loved every second of it.

P.S. we would love to hear what your ideas would be for themes for us. If you have an idea, just leave it in a comment below. Thanks.

I picked up a bag of salt water taffy one day and the colors amazed me. They were almost too pretty to eat...that is, until I put the first one in my mouth. Then I couldn't stop eating them! Of course, before we ate them all, I had to take a couple pictures. :)

P.S. We would love to hear ideas for future themes. :)

Faces

Declan. One of the most beautiful baby boys in the world. Sweetest too I might add. He just sat there and stared at me when I took the picture. :)

I had a little bit of a hard time with this theme because I wasn't around any other people a whole lot. So, I compromised and went back in the files. This little girl captured my attention one evening in Pennsylvania at the Dairy Isle. I just love her crinkled little nose. :)

Summer

so when shelle said that our theme this week is summer i got so excited! fireflies are my absolute favorite things about summer evenings. i tried to capture them one evening. :) they make me smile and i'm so glad that there are so many of them here. :) here's to summer evenings and fireflies!!! love, carm

I actually had a bit of a hard time with this theme at first. And then I sort of stumbled upon this picture and what better way (other then fireflies :)) to portray summer then dandelions!? Somehow, I can't seem to see dandelions as weeds. I can only think of the fun children had blowing the seeds and watching them float away. What a magical little weed! :)

Independence Day

Our first themed post. It feels good. I don't know about Carm, but I was really excited about it. I wish I could have gotten a picture that better showed off the spirit of the 4th of July, but we didn't do the traditional fireworks show because we were out of town. But driving by this front porch, I thought "that's what America's all about...having a place to call home."

P.S. We're going to try to keep this theme thing up, so if you have any ideas for more, we would gladly take suggestions.

For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; in returning and rest shall ye be saved; in QUIETNESS AND IN CONFIDENCE SHALL BE YOUR STRENGTH.  Isaiah 30:15

When I woke up this morning mom was already opening up the camper. When she went to open the door she said that someone has to come enjoy this with her. The minute I saw it I new I had to take a picture. The closer I got to it the more beautiful it got. It literally took my breath away. I hope you enjoy it too.

Since Carmen put on a picture of a sunrise, I thought I'd go with the same theme and put the picture I took last week of the sunset. That's one thing I love about our house; we get to see the colors of the sun painted across the sky every morning and evening. Only God could create something so amazing. And each time I see it, I feel like God has given me my own personal painting, and I feel loved. It's amazing how God gives us exactly what we need when we need it. Whether it's something big like a job or something little like a sunset....God knows our every need and cares for each one.

P.S. We are going to start trying to publish the blog on Tuesday's from now on. Scheduling has proven too difficult and we haven't been able to get it done on Monday's. We also want to try our hand at picking themes for the pictures we take so if you have any ideas for us, please let us know...would love to get some imput from y'all!
