i love blue skies and sunshine.
i love pink and orange shirts.
i love the teasing spring breeze.
and i love doing the laundry on a day like this. :)

Yesterday, the whole family went on one of our famous adventures. One of the things we did was explore a "castle" that a man had started building but wasn't able to finish. It was beautiful and amazing...and terribly sad. So, here's to all you're dreams coming true!

Sometimes taking a picture does not require being retarded. Other times? Well let us just say that other times it abosulitintootinly does. That my dear friends, in the photo on the left, is a picture of our galliant steed, Wilbur. It's a bird! It's a plane! It's the super cutlass WILBUR!!! He takes us everywhere. Literally. The trees were beautiful that day too, but I think that I had more fun parking Wilbur than I did taking the picture. Yupperooni. Hopefully the trusty old steed will be around for a while yet because I think he's my new fav and I'm sure all of you who are fans of this club will chalk him up as our new fan fav too!! Oh yeah!!! Life is good.

I know, I know...another flower picture. I'm sorry, but I can't help it. It's SPRING! Summer used to be my favorite season, but I think since I've moved to SC, spring has become the new "it" season. I love it. I love all the flowers, the blue skies, the sunshine. I love it all. This picture is of some bradford pear branches that I cut and put in a vase. I think they are SO pretty. There are two problems with the bradford pear blooms: 1) they smell kinda like dead animals for the first 2 weeks 2) they really mess up my allergies. But...they're still really pretty. :)

Spring has sprung. The grass is riz. I wonder where the birdies is.

O lovely lovely spring. The fresh air, the daffodils, the open windows, the smell of outside on my clothes, working in mom's garden. It almost makes me squeal just writing about it! Downtown Anderson is so pretty this time of year, and at christmas and thanksgiving and all the times inbetween, but right now spring is tops! O and FYI ya'll! I heard the first crickets chirping last night. I think I will officially sleep with my window open! Everybody look out, I'm doin my happy dance!!! love to all. carmie

I love spring. I love daffodils. And I love all things tiny. Amazingly...I found little, baby daffodils in my yard. And I truely believe that they are a gift from God. I saw the first one when I was having a really hard day and it made me feel loved and happy. It's amazing how God takes care of us that way.

o the lovely days of being a little girl. sometimes i wish i could go back even for a few hours. :) on Saturday i had the opportunity to take those little girls pictures. i had a lovely time holly b! your the sweetest! :) a quote i found reminded me of holly beth. it went like this:

A little girl can be sweeter ( and badder) oftener than anyone else in the world. She can jitter around and stomp and make funny noises that frazzle your nerves yet just when you open your mouth she stands there demure with that special look in her eyes. A girl is Innocence playing in the mud, Beauty standing on it's head, and Motherhood dragging a doll by the foot. alan beck

Hope. In my mind, spring is a vision of hope. Right now, hope for me is very similar to those tiny, little crocus flowers. Tiny. But still fighting to stay alive. Now matter what happens, hope keeps right on blooming in my heart. It keeps straining towards the sunlight. And then, at the very last second, a cloud breaks and the sun beats down on me and hope is more alive then ever before.

How strange this fear of death is! We are never frightened at a sunset.

week #20

Spring is coming. . . I think. :) I'd like to think this anyway. Then again cardinals aren't necessarily spring birds but you never know. It seems like every time I step outside right now though the birds are singing more which does mean something. Last
night mom and shelle and I went on walk outside and found all kinds of new flower shoots coming up so it's at least right around the corner. :)

Ah, spring. Yes, it's right around the corner here in the South and I couldn't be more thrilled. I used to think that summer was my favorite season, but since moving down here, spring has quickly stolen my heart. All the new growth just screams new beginnings. And the beautiful flowers very sweetly point to God. I just love spring!

Sorry to our few followers for the long pause. It took us awhile to get back into the groove of normal living after we each got back from our separate Christmas's. My hubby and I picked up our brand new puppy and headed off to visit my family in PA:

It has become a tradition for our family to make "Christmas cookies" every year. I remember doing it when I was little and now that I'm married, my little sister says that we have to make them together. I really don't mind. :)

Charlie Dog. We litterally brought him home, loaded the car and left for PA. He was only 8 weeks old at the time. But he did really good. He's terribly smart and I easily taught him a handful of things while we were in PA. I love my dog! :)

Some Christmas details. I love my mom's Christmas tree!

Another tradition: taking a picture of the "kids" in front of the Christmas tree. This year, the picture had to include Charlie and Crosby. [notice Charlie's santa hat :)]

Two of my favorite people. Great Aunt Mary and Great Uncle Lloyd. [however, we usually forget about the "great" part.] They are like a 3rd set of grandparents for us...and have become even more special since Grandma has passed away. Since I haven't seen them since Sept. 2007, I was thrilled to be able to spend time with them.

And to close: one last picture of Charlie enjoying a Christmas gift. Why? Just because it make it makes me smile. :)
