I picked up a bag of salt water taffy one day and the colors amazed me. They were almost too pretty to eat...that is, until I put the first one in my mouth. Then I couldn't stop eating them! Of course, before we ate them all, I had to take a couple pictures. :)

P.S. We would love to hear ideas for future themes. :)

Faces

Declan. One of the most beautiful baby boys in the world. Sweetest too I might add. He just sat there and stared at me when I took the picture. :)

I had a little bit of a hard time with this theme because I wasn't around any other people a whole lot. So, I compromised and went back in the files. This little girl captured my attention one evening in Pennsylvania at the Dairy Isle. I just love her crinkled little nose. :)

Summer

so when shelle said that our theme this week is summer i got so excited! fireflies are my absolute favorite things about summer evenings. i tried to capture them one evening. :) they make me smile and i'm so glad that there are so many of them here. :) here's to summer evenings and fireflies!!! love, carm

I actually had a bit of a hard time with this theme at first. And then I sort of stumbled upon this picture and what better way (other then fireflies :)) to portray summer then dandelions!? Somehow, I can't seem to see dandelions as weeds. I can only think of the fun children had blowing the seeds and watching them float away. What a magical little weed! :)

Independence Day

Our first themed post. It feels good. I don't know about Carm, but I was really excited about it. I wish I could have gotten a picture that better showed off the spirit of the 4th of July, but we didn't do the traditional fireworks show because we were out of town. But driving by this front porch, I thought "that's what America's all about...having a place to call home."

P.S. We're going to try to keep this theme thing up, so if you have any ideas for more, we would gladly take suggestions.
